Cole Slaw


  • 1/2 head green cabbage finely shredded
  • 2 carrots finely shredded
  • 6 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp onion grated (optional)
  • 1/2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 Tbsp mustard
  • Salt and pepper
  • Salt and pepper


  • Combine the shredded cabbage and carrots in a large bowl.
  • Whisk together the mayonnaise, onion, sugar, vinegar, mustard, salt, and pepper in a bowl, and then add to the cabbage mixture.
  • Mix well to combine and taste for seasoning. Chill before serving.

Make a lighter dressing by replacing some of the mayonnaise with plain yogurt.
If you like your cole slaw a little more tart, add more vinegar or lemon juice.
