Apple Nachos

Servings 2 servings


  • 2 apples of choice
  • 1/4 - 1/3 cup peanut butter (or other nut butter, or sunbutter)
  • 2-3 Tbsp Optional toppings:

Optional Toppings:

  • chopped nuts of choice
  • mini chocolate chips
  • raisins
  • shredded coconut
  • cinnamon


  • Wash apples and cut into quarters. Remove the core and slice the quarters into 1/4 inch slices.
  • Heat your peanut butter until it becomes runny: You can do this in the microwave or by placing a small heat-prove bowl in a small pot with just enough water to reach halfway up the sides of the bowl. Heat the water on medium and stir the peanut butter until it becomes warm and easy to drizzle.
  • On a plate, lay out the apple slices in a single layer. Drizzle the peanut butter over the apple slices.
  • Sprinkle the toppings of your choice on.


If you don't serve the apple nachos immediately, soak the slices in a bowl with water and lemon juice before assembling. This wwill delay browning.
This is a great snack or dessert to prepare with children. Have them choose their toppings of choice and help make the nachos.
