Willing Hands Farm Manager Ehrin Lingeman will give you the inside scoop on how we grow potatoes using smart, sustainable pest control—and dish on our Three Sisters companion planting plans (think corn, beans, and squash teaming up like pros), and Peg Merrens of the Upper Valley Land Trust will share background about the conservation of the land and its natural resources. Stick around for light snacks and good company, plus a chance to get your hands dirty planting potatoes that’ll feed our neighbors this fall.

Willing Hands Farm Manager Ehrin Lingeman will lead an insider’s tour of our vibrant garden, greenhouse, wash-pack facilities, and the Willing Hands warehouse—where fresh food is sorted and prepared for delivery to our hunger-relief partners. Enjoy light snacks and refreshments as you explore how our mission comes to life. After the tour, you’re warmly welcome to stay and get your hands in the soil during a volunteer session in the garden with Ehrin.

August 13 | Garden Walk & Talk Series, The Farmacy Garden

Join us for a tour and talk at the Farmacy Garden on the DHMC campus—where nourishing food and community health come together! Willing Hands Farm Manager Ehrin Lingeman will give a tour of the garden and orchard and share what’s growing this season. Then, we’ll hear from Chelsey Canavan of Dartmouth Health about their Food is Medicine work and how the food grown here supports programs like the DH Healthy Harvest food shelf. After the tour, enjoy light snacks and refreshments. You’re warmly invited to stay for a volunteer session in the garden—get your hands in the soil with Ehrin as we grow and harvest fresh produce for delivery to partners across the Upper Valley.

September 18 | Garden Walk & Talk Series, Sunny Fields Garden

Join Willing Hands and our Cedar Circle Farm partners for an educational garden tour—and soak in the late-season magic! Willing Hands Farm Manager Ehrin Lingeman will discuss Willing Hands’ growing practices—including cover cropping, crop rotation, and crop selection—and where all this food goes to help reduce food insecurity in our community. We’ll also hear from our friends at Cedar Circle Farm & Education Center about current R&D trials they have underway!
