Full-time delivery driver/warehouse position with great benefits.

Are you looking for a role where you can make a meaningful impact in your community? Willing Hands is seeking a full-time Operations Coordinator to support our mission to connect fresh, local food with neighbors in need.

The Operations Coordinator supports the work of the warehouse, delivery, and facilities team as a delivery driver, warehouse, and logistics staff member. This position facilitates the movement of food from food donors through the warehouse and to our food access partners. This role is one of the organization’s main points of contact with the general public, food shelf partners, volunteers, and food recipients. Job requirements include a federal DOT medical card, background check, and experience driving a cab-over box truck.

The right candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated to support a community-centered organization that handles and delivers perishable food. A strong work ethic, a clean driving record, and the ability to perform physical labor while maintaining a positive attitude are essential.

Looking for a meaningful way to spend a couple of hours each week? We’re seeking a weekly volunteer driver to complete our Sunday food recovery route.

In about two hours (anytime between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.), you’ll pick up generous food donations from the Co-op Food Stores, King Arthur Bakery, and Crossroad Farm’s Farmstand. Come Monday morning, our team delivers this fresh, nutritious food to local food shelves, meal programs, healthcare centers, and other community partners, helping ensure good food reaches people who need it most.

This route recovers a substantial amount of fresh food every week, making it one of our most impactful volunteer opportunities.

Volunteers should be able to lift containers weighing up to 40 pounds.

Interested? We’d love to hear from you! Email volunteer@willinghands.org

Help recover farm-fresh, local produce and get it to neighbors who need it most!

We’re looking for a weekly volunteer driver’s assistant to join a volunteer driver at the Norwich Farmers Market Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. Together, you’ll collect generous produce donations from local farmers and food vendors as the market closes, load them into the Willing Hands van, and bring them back to our facility for distribution to area food shelves and other food access partners.

This is a fun, active volunteer opportunity with an immediate impact—every week, you’ll help ensure that fresh, delicious food stays in our community instead of going to waste. A weekly commitment is not required; this team swaps in and out on Saturdays as they are available to cover market season.

Volunteers should be able to lift bins weighing up to 40 pounds.

Interested? We’d love to have you on the team! Email volunteer@willinghands.org
